Evil Twin Comics makes award-winning humorous non-fiction comics and graphic novels.
Based in New York City, Evil Twin Comics is the creative comic book production partnership of artist Ryan Dunlavey and writer Fred Van Lente.
Evil Twin Comics was founded in 2004 when the duo received a grant from the Xeric Foundation to self-publish the Action Philosophers comic book series. Since that time Fred and Ryan have made a name for themselves by producing intellectually rigorous and wildly entertaining non-fiction comics books covering a wide variety of subjects and for all ages.
Evil Twin Comic's flagship title Action Philosophers has enjoyed an evergreen popularity since it's first printing - the first collection received a "Great Graphic Novels For Teens" award from American Library Association in 2007, it has been translated into 10 languages, it is used as a text in classrooms around the world and in 2023 it was re-launched in a new, full-color edition from Rocketship Entertainment.
